Sarah Picot was born in Summit, NJ.  After attending the Catholic University of America (where she graduated with a BA in English) and the College of Ripon and York St. John in England, Sarah went on to train at the AlvinAiley American Dance Center in NYC.  Sarah went on to have a diverse dance career that included the NY Knicks City Dancers, the American Ballroom Theater and Complexions with Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson.
While dancing Sarah taught Ballet and Modern at Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, Steps, Musical Theater Works and most recently at the Washington School of Ballet in DC.
Having taught dance for close to 18 years, Sarah decided to expand her instruction to Pilates - the exercise method chosen by dancers for a large part of the 20th century.  Sarah trained at Tribecca Body Works and the Pilates Studio in NYC.  She was about to enter the intensive training program when she became pregnant with her first child.  Sarah and her husband Steve ended up moving to DC where Sarah completed her training program through the PhysicalMind Institute.
Sarah's career has also included appearing in The Bone Collector, Random Hearts and The Thomas Crown Affair.  She also starred in a Converse commercial that aired in Japan in 1996.
